About Carolina Casual

Carolina Casual Inc. is a family owned and operated company located on the “barrier islands” of the Outer Banks. The thin strips of sandy land block the high-energy ocean waves and storm surges, protecting the coastal mainland. Our family has always had a huge respect for this beautifully unique coastal community. Seeing first-hand the damaging effects mother nature can have on outdoor furniture and the importance of recycling plastics for our coastal environments lead us to design eco-friendly furniture that you can feel good about.

Highlights

In order to maintain the beauty of your furniture we recommend you clean it on a regular basis using a non-abrasive soap and warm water. To help remove the more stubborn stains we recommend a mixture of bleach and water along with a soft bristle brush, a high pressure power washer may be used but do not exceed 1500 psi and keep the nozzle at minimum 12 inches from the furniture. We prefer to use a clinging gel bleach commonly referred to as “toilet bowl cleaner” that is available at most grocery and department stores, this type of gel holds to vertical surfaces allowing longer contact time while cleaning your product. Be sure to rinse thoroughly.

Carolina Casual uses only the highest quality 316 stainless steel fasteners, which are marine grade and corrosion resistant, making them virtually maintenance free. However, we recommend that you regularly rinse them with fresh water to ensure their longevity, especially in the harsher coastal environments.

With proper care, your Carolina Casual Furniture will bring you lifetimes worth of Enjoyment!

  • In 1986 our dedication to top quality outdoor products began and for over 35 years our company has continued that commitment. Carolina Casual furniture is crafted from 95% post-consumer recycled plastic lumber made from recycled milk jugs and laundry detergent bottles that would normally be disposed of in landfills.
  • Our furniture offers more than just a place to relax and make memories with friends and family. It is also a contribution to protecting the environment that can be passed down for generations.
  • HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) plastic lumber is a strong and durable building material that will last a lifetime. We pride ourselves in being able to carry an eco-friendly product for our customers. Our HDPE lumber vendor, Tangent, diverts 210 million milk bottles or 15,000 tons of HDPE post-consumer plastics from landfills to make the lumber we use in our high quality product.
  • Tangent is proud to be a certified closed loop manufacturer. Meaning that they buy back and re-use the scrap lumber to further reduce waste and remake product.
